Fueling obsessions
So.. I was recently named one of the Top 10 Shoe Bloggers of January by the nice people at www.yournextshoes.com! I totally didn't see this coming because it wasn't a competition or anything- randomly found out via Twitter- but wow. Thanks guys! All that money I've spent (and will spend) on shoes seems totally justified now- not that there was ever really a need but you know what I mean. Note to self: send link to dad.
Since we're talking about shoes (and this is probably not healthy) but these are my top 50something favourites from Paris' S/S13 runway!
Alexander Mcqueen
Alexis Mabille
Balmain
Carven
Chalayan
Chanel
Chloe
Christian Dior
Comme de Garcons
Dres van Noten
Gareth Pugh
Givenchy
Guy Laroche
Haider Ackermann
Isabel Marant
Issey Miyake
Jean Paul Gaultier
John Galliano
Lanvin
Loewe
Louis Vuitton
Miu Miu
Rolan Mouret
Saint Laurent
Stella McCartney
Tsumori Chisato
Victor Rolf
Vivienne Westwood
Yohji Yamamoto
God I want them all. I'm loving the season so far! I'm glad that the designs are getting more and more out there -the less they look like shoes, the better. There are some really interesting forms (Dres van Noten) and so.. much.. chunkiness.. My favourites, if forced to decide at gunpoint, would definitely be by Alexander Mcqueen, Jean Paul Gaultier and those holographic Vivienne Westwoods! I'm actually considering getting a pair of JPGs, I'm really digging the whole oriental thing going on.
And I've saved these for last:
Celine
I'm not too sure how I feel about them. Some look straight up like fuzzy bedroom slippers but I kind of like the 2nd and 3rd ones. What do you guys think?
I could go on and on- but I kind of need to finish writing my thesis so... have a good week everyone!
xx
