It's 2am here, but I really want to talk about the Alexander Wang SS14 collection, and I think my friends wouldn't be my friends anymore tomorrow if I started blasting texts now so.. the internet populace it shall be.

I'm a huge fan of the guy. Heading Balenciaga and his own label before he turns 30 is ridiculously inspirational, but being able to maintain two different aesthetics shows how well he understands fashion and I hope I'll be at that level one day. Plus he makes some pretty amazing bags, and a good bag always gets me.

I loved how he played with preppy elements like the pleated skirt, tailored trousers, button-up shirts and of course, the quintessential pullover.  But he made them so cool, goddammit! Mixing prep and street is not an easy task but I think he maintained a good balance in this collection. This show wasn't quite as show-stopping as last year's, but there are definitely a few pieces from his SS14 runway that I'd love to have- even if they have his logo all over it.

These are some of my favourite looks from his show. I can't wait to see what he's going to bring to the table with his Balenciaga collection.

xx
